School Ethos and Purpose
The spirit and values at South Perth Primary are what makes us different from another primary school. All schools and communities have a "heart" and this is commonly referred to as the "School Culture". The following expectations are encouraged on a daily basis, and help make out school culture unique:
- Treat others as you would expect to be treated - "The Golden Rule"
- Listen to others
- Have a go and do your best
- Aim for improvement - "Practice makes progress"
- Do the right thing and make positive choices
- Contribute, help or assist others
- Learn, enjoy and have fun in everything you do
- "Thinksafe" and "Be safe"
- Celebrate success
Our school council has developed a statement that articulates the school spirit and supporting values of South Perth Primary. The brochure is available from the school office.
The school community has a set of 5 core values and 12 supporting values which are reflected in everything we do. The program involves a whole school approach. The school uses specific strategies that endeavour to reinforce and encourage these values.
