South Perth Primary P&C

P&C Reporter

The P&C reporter is produced after each P&C meeting to keep you informed about what the P&C and its sub-committees are up to.

P & C Meetings

P&C meetings provide a forum for people from the school and local community to help make decisions regarding their school.

They provide important information as to the running of the school, the education of our children and the ways in which we can help to continue to make South Perth Primary School a great place to learn, play and work.

All interested parties are welcome to attend - it's a great way to help the kids.

Meetings are held in the school staff room or library at 7:30pm. Most meetings are finished by 9:30pm. They are usually held on Wednesday nights in weeks 3 and 8.

To add an item to the agenda of the next P&C meeting, contact the P&C president.

P&C Office Bearers

P&C Office Bearers and committee members are elected each year at the Annual General Meeting (AGM). This meeting is held in the first weeks of the school year. The list of Office Bearers contains a list of the current office bearers and also a brief description of each position.

If you are interested in helping with any projects or fundraising or if you would like to be a part of one of the P&C sub-committees then the P&C have communication folders at the front office. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Finding Out More About the P&C

There is a parent section in our school library with information on WACSSO issues, P&C Constitution, Minutes of P&C Meetings, Minutes of school Council Meetings and much, much more. Just ask the friendly staff in the school library and they will point you in the right direction.

MAP - The Master Activity Plan

The Master Activity Plan (MAP) was initiated by the P&C in an effort to guide future improvements around the school to ensure that work/projects are inline with a plan that makes best use of the school grounds and available resources. The Plan was put together by a group of parents, staff and a landscape architect and covers issues such as parking, future buildings, safety issues, relocation of cricket nets, etc., to better utilise space.

The plan is viewed 'as a work in progress' and has recently been updated and is currently open for comment from all interested parties. The plan can be viewed on this website or in the glass cabinet between Rooms 4 and 5. Any comments should be forwarded to the Principal.

WACSSO

WACSSO is the Western Australian Council of State School Organisations Incorporated and is directed by affiliated Parents and Citizen's Associations to represent the voice of parents and citizens associated with government schools. Find out more about WACSSO at their web site. They also have an electronic newsletter that you can receive weekly via e-mail.
